Cheese Tasting & Four Course Meal

Wednesday June 10 at Article 14

Break your routine with an upscale night out! Every month this summer, you can join Article 14 for a four-course meal featuring organic cheeses from a local farm. Each course incorporates a unique cheese, and is specially paired with a glass of wine. The dinner will also offer additional cheese samples and host a guest speaker from the American Cheese Society. This Wednesday, the event will feature cheese from Nature’s Harmony Farm in Elberton. - $45

Peachtree Corners Festival

Friday June 12th - Sunday June 14th at Corners Parkway and Woodhill Drive

If you haven’t experienced a foot long corn dog, you should try your first at the Peachtree Corners Festival. The festival will have a beer garden, a car show, a 5k family bike ride, kids’ activities, artist vendors, local food trucks, and live music. 

Bring a big blanket or a few worn lawn chairs! You’ll want to lay out for the eclectic lineup- you’ll hear southern rock, alternative pop rock, country, a cappella, piano rock, and cover bands. There will also be fried oreos, gyros, mango lemonade, and alligator for sale. - FREE

Flip Flop Fiesta

Saturday June 13th at Jekyll Brewing

Want to try a Southern shandy or a German radler? You’ll have a chance to taste these two brand new summer brews, along with your Jekyll favorites, at the Flip Flop Fiesta! You can take a brew tour, enjoy a bite from the food trucks- Wheely Grilly and Olde Blind Dog- and listen to great live music at the event. Artists include Tbone & Earl, Eric Leland Music, Mike Estabrook, Voodoo Visionary, and Steady Common.  - $15

Brookhaven Beer Festival

Saturday June 13th on Apple Valley Road

If you’re itching for an alcohol-friendly event this week, make this the one. It’s a beer lover’s paradise- unlimited sampling of over 150 beers (and wines)! Local food from Pub 71, Noche, and King of Pops will be up for sale. In addition to food and beer, the festival will feature live music from Ocean Street and Sailing to Denver, and an official after party at Hudson Grille Brookhaven. - $38 to sample

The Wild Bunch Cocktail Party

Sunday June 14th at Argosy

Come for the tacos and cocktails- stay for the party! Each of your 5 event tickets will be good for either a taco or a drink (choose wisely- or just purchase more tickets for $5 each), and all proceeds will benefit The Giving Kitchen, a non-profit that helps members of the Atlanta restaurant community facing an illness or catastrophe.

Famous local chefs, including Top Chef’s Hugh Acheson, Belly Up’s host Eddie Russell (chef at Argosy), and Octopus Bar’s Duane Kulers will be serving up fresh tacos. At the bar, you’ll find incredible cocktails from impressive bartenders- chat with Greg Best, Paul Calvert, Miles Macquarrie, and many others. Gentleman Jesse and Little Francis (who you may know as Steve Grubbs from Empire State South) will perform live at the event. -$25 for 5 food/drink tickets
