Atlanta’s Top Breweries

Want to find out some of the best spots in Atlanta to take a brewery tour and tasting? We have complied a list of our favorite spots so make sure you check them out.

sweetwater brewery

This native Atlanta brewery was founded after the 1996 Summer Olympics, because Freddy Bensch, co-founder, believed the South East was in need of some West Coast style beer. Since then, the brewery has excelled exponentially and is ranked number 19 among the top 50 US craft brewing companies.  Whether it is a limited release beer, a catch n release beer, or a year round beer you do not want to miss out on a tour and tasting here this summer. http://sweetwaterbrew.com

orpheus brewery

Overlooking Piedmont Park and the Beltline, this is one place you definitely want to check out this summer.  With a huge facility and a tasting room that will make you want to stay forever, this place will not disappoint. Orpheus has new innovative beers that are ready for you to try. So head over there and take a tasting tour! http://www.orpheusbrewing.com

three taverns brewery

This Belgian inspired brewery opened in the summer of 2013.  The Parlour, which is the tasting room, is the main attraction. Three Taverns looks at beer as being “a social beverage, shared amongst friends in conversation and fellowship”, which the Parlour room captures.  If you bike to the Parlour than you receive a $2 discount on the Tasting Tour. http://www.threetavernsbrewery.com/welcome

wild heaven craft beers

Wild Heaven Craft Beers is located in the lovely neighborhood of Avondale Estates.  While visiting you can either participate in a public tour and tasting or private tour. If a private tour would be preferred you would need to book that in advance. The public tours include a “Facility Tour” and a souvenir beer; also their tasting room is already open to the public. http://wildheavencraftbeers.com

the wrecking bar brewpub

In the heart of Inman Park, The Wrecking Bar Brewpub houses its own brewery.  The brewery is located in a warehouse near the rear of the property. They brew all different styles, from light to dark and hoppy to malty.  Additionally, they have an extensive dinner menu while serving brunch on the weekends. If you are a vegetarian you should check out “Veggie-Tuesday” to enjoy delicious vegetarian dishes and in-house brewed beer. http://www.wreckingbarbrewpub.com
